After you upgrade from Windows 98 or Windows ME to Windows XP, the following message may show up:
Your password will expire in 14 days. Do you want to change it now?
This message may show up, even if you have never set a password before. If you choose No, the next day you will get the message:
Your password will expire in 13 days. Do you want to change it now?
And the next day:
Your password will expire in 12 days. Do you want to change it now?
Oh well, you’ll get the message 🙂
To remove the password from your account, you should remove the password from the account. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click User Accounts
- Double-click your name and click Create a password
- Type your new password twice and click Create a password
- Reboot your computer
- Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click User Accounts
- Double-click your name and click Remove the password
I think this is a long process. What about using the command “control userpasswords2 “
Nice one, this is faster and easyer 😉 thx
