Today at work, I had scheduled to deploy Nuance Power PDF Advanced 2.0, a hugh software product taking 2 GB of disk space. I use SCCM 2012 R2, build 1610, but in this scenario I believe any version or build would have given the same error.
During the testing phase, I clicked Install in the Software Center. The Downloading phase went well, but as soon as it started Installing, it showed an error:
The software could not be found on any servers at this time
I rechecked my distribution points; all were fine. I checked my boundaries and boundary groups; these were fine too.
Then I realized my software package had multiple folders. The MSI i was calling was located in a sub-sub-folder of the original installation folder.
Some easy steps helped me determine my root location: .\Applications\Software\Nuance PowerPDF Advanced 2.0\
However, my MSI installation file was located in a sub-sub-folder. To call my MSI, I needed to fill in the “Installation start in” field. In my case: ppdf20-av-x-17_100\System64\
This would fix my problem, executing .\Applications\Software\Nuance PowerPDF Advanced 2.0\ppdf20-av-x-17_100\System64\Nuance Power PDF Advanced.msi
Those steps solved my problem. Thank you very much for sharing this info. I have added this information in the pre-check steps on my blog
