In a large network with many identical computer systems, you may want to consider a automatic silent BIOS update.
As I was asked to upgrade 50 DELL E6400 ATG laptops with a new BIOS, I created an advertisement in SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) which installs the new BIOS version without asking to continue/confirm.
In my case, the command line was: E6400A25.EXE /nopause
Please note that this command will force your computer to restart immediately!
In addition: Because the tool checks the integrity and version of your BIOS, there’s a minimal (<0,01%) risk that the update will fail.
The nopause switch seems to work with many other BIOS versions of DELL, like DELL 530, DELL 620 and DELL 630.
