During my first deployment of Windows 2012 with SCCM 2012 SP1 from the original WIM-file install.wim, the task sequence encountered the following error
Task Sequence: Deploy Windows Server 2012 has failed with the error code (0x800705AA)
This error may occur when the minimum requirements do not match the current system specs. In my case, my HyperV Virtual Machine was configured with:
Startup memory: 512 MB
Minimum memory: 512 MB
Maximum memory: 4096MB
Apparently, the SCCM 2012 Task Sequence requires more memory to install the WIM-file to the C-drive.
To solve this issue, in VMM 2012, I changed the memory values as follows:
After completion of the Task Sequence, I was able to reduce the startup and minimum memory with no problem.
Since Windows Server 2012 has the same OS version and architecture as Windows 8, please note that this situation could also occur with Windows 8.
